Spell Check Not Showing Up In Word For Mac
To check spelling in a Word document, open up the document, head to the “Review” tab, then click on “Spelling & Grammar” (part of the “Proofing” group of tools). When Microsoft Word 2013 refuses to spell check it’s usually because it’s been disabled for the selected language in the particular document. Some templates have this option enabled by design to hide the red or green underlines for words that aren’t in the default dictionary.
Additionally when I use spell check and click 'check document now', the dialog box is empty. It does not show any of the misspelled words and does not give any suggestions. Thanks for the help.

Bittorrent for mac 10.6.8. Hello everyone, I am having an issue with Microsoft Word 2016 for Mac not showing grammar mistakes or corrections (the green and blue squiggly lines). Misspelled words still have the red squiggly line though. I made sure everything was how it should be in Language Settings (set to English, check spelling and grammar), and the Proofing options (all boxes are checked, including grammar). But still nothing shows up in my work (I'm a PhD student with poor syntax, and this has been a big problem once I noticed it). I recently updated from 2011 to 2016, and I'm not sure it has every worked on the new version. I've seemingly been through every settings menu, and haven't found anything that could be the root of the problem. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.
