I have a MacBook Pro bought in 2010, which was working great on Snow Leopard. Recently I needed to upgrade my ancient MS Office.
So I downloaded Office for Mac 2016. After Office for Mac 2016 was installed, it would not run until I upgraded my Mac from Snow Leopard. I installed El Capitan 10.11.5 Then Office worked well for a few days, just s-l-o-w-l-y. Then it crashed a few times, then more frequently, now won't open at all. What can I do?
I have tried the usual reboot, close and allow rest. Improves things slightly - sometimes a Word file will open for a moment before it all crashes again. It seems I am not alone with this problem, but can't pull up other answers. One thing that slows El Capitan and The OSX version just before is that Apple has tighten security to prevent destruction from Malware.
