I have just spent 9 hours downloading the WIndows 10 Home iso file for use on both a 64bit and a 32bit machine. I have an Acer laptop running Windows 8.1 SL and an older desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium I downloaded and used the 64bit Media Creation Tool to do the iso download on my laptop.

The size of the iso file is 5,869,120 KB which is too large to burn to my 4.7GB DVD The download instructions say that a 4.7GB DVD will be large enough. Why is my download over 5.8GB in size??
Will my MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ8E2Q ( built-in to my Acer laptop ) be able to handle a larger capacity DVD?? I downloaded and used the 64bit version download tool and followed the instructions in the posting 'How to download official Windows 10 iso files' as posted by Andre da Costa on July 29, 2015 On the second screen displayed, under architecture, I chose 'Both', since I wanted an iso file which would cater for both my laptop and desktop. After selecting the 'ISO file' option on the third screen, and specifying where I wanted the file saved, the download started automatically, and I left it to run. In your response you state that I can use the iso file by mounting it, and using it as if it were on a DVD I will copy the iso file to a Flash Drive/ Memory Stick, and then onto my desktop.

My only outstanding question is still 'Why is the ISO file larger than 4.7GB'?? Dear Team Zigzag I downloaded one file, supposedly for use on both 32 bit and 64 bit machines. I did not create an ISO file. Did the response to 'ISO fie' in the download tool not automatically create an ISO file??
